The client has decided to move back to London and refurbish their old but very bright 2 bedroom maisonette to make it more contemporary. We decided to keep the design simple and have a neutral colour palette, so that we could bring some character through accessories and furniture pieces. The wooden flooring was sanded down to get rid of the yellow tones and brighten up the whole space. We’ve covered an old internal window from the upstairs bedroom overlooking into the living room and turned the pitched roof area into a feature using lighting and wallpaper. The en-suite bathrooms got new sanitary ware to address the limited space. We have made some minimal changes regarding lighting by adding new fixtures.
